This path is not merely an academic accumulation, it is a living embodiment of the Sovereign Right of Veto (F) in the face of purely functional expectations (B), proving that thought when it originates from the Global South and submits to strict global standards creates an indelible existential impact (Nf).
Keys to the Abyss: The Unified Ontological Framework (B+F=Nf)
To understand how this framework applies to neurological diseases and artificial intelligence, the following variables are precisely defined:
B (Structure / Functional Processing):
Includes instincts, algorithms, procedural memory, strong local neural connections, and automatic biological processing. It operates in machine time: linear, quantitative, measurable. Shared among humans
animals, and machines. B is the material stage upon which all operations occur, but it is not the existential agent.
B₁-Memory (Stored / Old Memory):
Represents patterns, habits, and preserved memories. It may sometimes operate without a witness (as in sleep-related eating disorders), or the Witness may be present but imprisoned within it (as in Alzheimer's disease or anxiety loops). It is the repository to which F retreats when disconnected from the present.
B₁-New (New / Creative Processing):
Represents new analysis, meaning creation, and adaptation to the present. It necessarily requires the presence of the Witness (F). It is the bridge connecting F to present time. When it dies, F loses its connection to the present and retreats to B₁-Memory.
B₂ (Silent / Witness-less Processing):
Includes heartbeat, immunity, reflex arcs, and unobserved cosmic phenomena. These processes operate automatically without needing F. The Witness uses B₁
(observed) to invent tools (such as medical devices) to monitor B₂. B₂ is the domain where transplantation succeeds because it does not require F.
F (The Witness / Sovereign Agent):
Inner consciousness, conscience, veto power, questioning, meaning-making, and foundational imagination. A uniquely human attribute. It is the act of seeing itself, not the seen. It is the condition of vision, not an object of vision. It cannot be seen directly, only its traces can be observed. It operates in human time: flexible, charged with meaning.
Nf (The Exclusive Product of B and F Interaction):
Narrative / Authentic Existential Outcome. Includes general intelligence, cognition, existential meaning, and story. It is what remains when functional processing passes through the sovereign filter. There is no Nf without F.
Ba (Functional Simulation):
What a machine produces when it possesses only B without F. It recycles data without consciousness or
authentic meaning. It is perfect artificial intelligence: it retrieves everything, but witnesses nothing. It is perfect artificial Alzheimer's.
B_reflex (Involuntary Reflex):
Immediate response (122 milliseconds) passing through subcortical pathways. It does not transfer to memory, nor is it witnessed by the Witness during occurrence. F witnesses it retrospectively (Postdiction).
θ_F (The Biometric Threshold of the Witness):
The unique biometric signature emitted exclusively by the will of the Witness. Measured via Phase-Locking Value (PLV) between DMN and FPN networks.
SII (Sovereign Integration Index):
Measures the extent of restored integration between DMN and FPN. Used to determine whether F has re-established its connection to the present.

Current therapeutic models for anxiety, depression, and psychosis fail systematically due to ontological
reductionism; they treat biological structure and functional processing (B) via pharmacology, while ignoring or chemically anesthetizing the Sovereign Witness (F). Open access is not merely a publishing model it is a recognition that knowledge is a human right, not a commodity. In my recent health research, I apply the rule (B+F=Nf):
(B) is biological truth: the body, the disease, the blood. This is what MSF treats daily in the field.
(F) is internal witnessing: the patient witnessing their pain, being recognized as a human, not just a clinical case.
(Nf) is the narrative trace: the published research, the told story, the changed policy.
When MSF opens its research to all, using ReMIT and the Science Portal, it does not merely share information. It grants witnessing (F) to patients and communities, transforming their suffering into a trace (Nf) that changes policies.
This is truly research without borders: not only without geographic borders, but without borders between the body (B), witnessing (F), and the trace (Nf).

This excellent study by Xu, Liu, and colleagues (Communications Physics, 2025) provides practical confirmation of the golden rule I have proposed in my research Dark Matter and Space Detectors: The Problem is in the Detector, Not in the Universe. The authors demonstrate that changing the resonant scanning strategy that is, changing how the detector (F) operates increased search efficiency by a factor of 30 and set new limits on dark matter interactions. What was observed is not dark matter itself, but new limits on its hypothetical couplings. This mirrors exactly what I have proposed in the (B)+(F)=Nf existential framework: what we call dark matter is not a physical entity in the universe (B), but an epistemological shadow whose shape changes as our detectors (F) and measurement strategies change. We do not see dark matter we see the boundaries of our detectors shifting. The problem lies in the detector, not in the universe.
