About Min-Chul Park
I am a researcher who loves exploring new technologies and pushing the boundaries of innovation. My work spans various fields, including artificial intelligence (AI), image processing, defense technology, and augmented reality (AR). I enjoy solving complex problems and continuously learning to develop cutting-edge solutions. My research is particularly focused on sensor-based imaging technologies, including large-area 2D and 3D imaging systems, and how these can be integrated with AI to unlock new applications.
I have a strong interest in both 2D and 3D imaging technologies, working extensively with sensor-based imaging, large-area imaging, and computational optics. My research covers areas such as AI-driven image processing, biomedical signal applications, and next-generation display systems. In particular, I have explored 3D integral imaging, leading to a publication in Nature Electronics, where I contributed to advancing computational and optical methodologies for improved 3D visualization. Through these projects, I strive to develop novel imaging techniques that enhance data interpretation and enable real-world applications.
Beyond this, I have also conducted extensive research in AI-driven technologies, including anomaly detection systems, time-series forecasting, and interpolation algorithms. One of my key achievements was developing the world’s first hologram-based 4K-resolution 5G+AI smart AR glasses, showcased at CES 2020 and recognized as one of Korea’s Top 100 National R&D Achievements of 2021.
Recently, I was honored with the CES 2025 Innovation Award for developing an AI-powered X-ray image to 3D visualization and image quality enhancement technology.(url: https://www.ces.tech/ces-innovation-awards/2025/3d-visualization-of-a-x-ray-image-visibility-enhancement/) I also played a key role in developing an automated tracking and shooting analysis system for unmanned aerial targets, which has now been successfully deployed in the Army. In addition, I contributed to the multi-channel image acquisition and image registration technology for tracked vehicle surveillance systems, which was successfully transferred for commercialization.
I believe that technology should always move forward. I don’t limit myself to one area—instead, I explore new ideas and experiment with different technologies. By combining AI with emerging innovations, I aim to develop solutions that are both practical and groundbreaking.
I will continue learning, researching, and creating technologies that make a real impact.
