About Pranab Chatterjee
Pranab Chatterjee is the Editor of BMC Nursing. He is a physician-scientist and epidemiologist focused on global public health, infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), and One Health. He holds an MBBS from Medical College, Kolkata, an MD in Preventive Medicine from the University of Delhi, and a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene from the Royal College of Physicians, London. He completed his PhD in International Health (Global Disease Epidemiology and Control) at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. His work spans epidemiologic studies, mixed-methods and implementation research, and policy analysis, with a focus on how evidence is translated into better care and safer health systems. As Editor, he aims to support rigorous, transparent, and clinically meaningful scholarship with global relevance.
