About Shien Ri
Shien Ri received his PhD degrees in Systems Engineering from Wakayama University in 2007. He was an assistant professor at the Department of Nanomechanics, Tohoku University from 2008 to 2010. Currently, he is a chief senior researcher at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) and visiting professor at Tokyo University of Science. His research interests include optical method, experimental mechanics and moiré technique. He is a lifetime member of the SPIE and the SEM, and the member of the Japan Society of Experimental Mechanics (JSEM) and the Japanese Society for Non-Destructive Inspection (JSNDI). He is awarded the title of Distinguished Specialist in Experimental Mechanics (DSEM) by JSEM in 2022. Numerous research findings have been published in Nature Communications, Nanoscale, Experimental Mechanics, Optics Express, Applied Optics, and Journal of Optics, etc.
