About Zhixia Xu

Zhixia Xu received the B.Eng. degree in Electronic Information Science and Technology from Dalian Maritime University (DMU), China, in 2015, and the Ph.D. degree in Electromagnetic Field and Microwave Technology from Southeast University (SEU), China, in 2019. He was a Visiting Graduate Student at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), from 2018 to 2019. He served as an Associate Professor at DMU from 2020 to 2024 and joined the State Key Laboratory of Millimeter Waves at SEU in 2025, where he currently holds the position of Associate Professor. 

Advancing the future of photonics—through high-Q resonant metasurfaces, topological photonic devices, and metamaterial biosensors integrated with microfluidics and micro/nanofabrication for biomedical applications such as early cancer detection.
