Call for Papers: Cultural Perspectives in Emotions Research
This Collection invites research on how emotions are shaped, expressed and understood across different cultural contexts.
Published in Social Sciences and Behavioural Sciences & Psychology
Human life is shaped by sensitivity—to the spaces we inhabit and to the relationships we build with ourselves and others. In recent years, some areas of research have prioritised highly quantitative approaches, leaving less room to capture the emotional subtleties of experience. This Collection encourages studies from social psychology, ethnography and media research that explore how emotions structure everyday life. Emotions are not external to human experience; they are integral to it, revealing aspects of social life that might otherwise remain unseen. Understanding these dynamics can offer valuable insights for scholarship and public debate.
