What is the Activity Feed?

The Activity Feed allows you to stay updated on the latest content and interactions within the Research Communities via an automatically curated stream of updates based on the Topics, Communities and researchers you follow. On your Activity Feed, which can be accessed through the left-side navigation menu, you can see content from the Communities you have joined, so you never miss any updates

  • Stay up to date with individuals you follow and their activity, posts, and insights
  • Get informed about likes and comments made by those in your network, making it easier to follow conversations
  • Watch a real-time feed of what’s happening across the Topics you follow, reducing the need to search for updates manually
  • Get notified when other members follow you so you can easily connect with peers worldwide.

How can you access the Activity Feed?

You can find the Activity Feed at the top of the left-hand panel on the Research Communities or head to communities.springernature.com/activity. Simply log in, and your personalised feed will be ready to explore.

How to personalise your feed

To get the best experience, follow Topics and Communities that align with your personal interests. Make sure to also follow other Communities’ members in your networks and beyond to stay in touch and up to date with the global research community. The more you engage and follow, the richer and more relevant your activity feed will become.

  • Join Communities of interest to keep up to date with the latest posts by clicking ‘Join’ at the top of the relevant Community page. You can join as many as you like.

  • Follow Topics that you are interested in. Any post that has been tagged with a Topic you are following will appear in your Activity Feed. You can follow Topics either at the bottom of your logged-in homepage, or by clicking on the Topics that have already been tagged to a blog post you’re reading.

  • Follow others by visiting their profile and clicking ‘Follow’, helping you stay engaged with their latest posts, likes and insights.  Complete your profile to help others find and follow you.

  • Share a like or comment on a post published in the Research Communities to start a conversation and grow your network and Activity Feed.

  • Contribute your own content to raise your profile and encourage discussion.
