Blog posts, op-eds and commentaries are a quick way to express opinions, share new information, and advocate for change. During the Covid-19 pandemic, they have been widely used, shared, and cited.

In this crowd-sourced compilation, I have curated a list of 50+ blogs and media platforms that accept and publish blog posts and op-eds. This list does NOT include well known international newspapers or magazines (e.g. NYT, WSJ, Washington Post, Guardian, TIME, Forbes, Atlantic, New Yorker), nor does it include traditional global health or medical journals (e.g. Lancet, BMJ Global Health). Such newspapers and journals are well-known and there are too many to list, in any case! This list does not include personal blogs.

A vast majority of the portals listed are free access, but some are pay-walled. Most will require you to pitch to the blog or opinion editors. Contact details are usually on the website.

I will keep this list updated, as I do with similar lists of global health books, films, and podcasts. So, please keep the suggestions coming!
