About Fouad Al Shaban
Dr. Fouad Alshaban graduated from Baghdad College of Medicine and his MSc., and Ph.D. from the United Kingdom. Dr. Alshaban works as a principal Scientist at QBRI Neurological Disorder Research Center, and a Professor at the College of Health & Life Sciences at Hamad Bin Khalifa University. Dr. Alshaban published three books in the field of Public Health, Infectious Diseases, and Nutrition, and two books on Autism, he has many published papers in peer-reviewed journals.
Throughout his career at Qatar Biomedical Research Institute, Dr. Alshaban has focused on applying epidemiological methods to investigate and evaluate the burden of autism spectrum disorder in Qatar. He began studying prevalence rates of ASD and all contributing risk factors associated with the disorder.
His current focus is the development of interdisciplinary research programs to improve early diagnosis, intervention, and treatment of ASD. He developed innovative screening and diagnostic tools using eye-tracking technology in collaboration with the Cleveland Clinic.
He has more than 25 peer reviewed publication on Autism in Qatar.
He is the founder and CEO of Autism-I-Track company registered in Qatar.
