About Hitoshi Yamamoto

I study the evolution of human cooperation through direct and indirect reciprocity, reputation, and social norms. Using evolutionary game theory, agent-based simulation, and behavioral experiments, I explore how cooperation emerges and is sustained in human societies, as well as how AI and other emerging technologies may reshape social judgment and cooperation.
