About Patrick Ming-Kuen TANG

Dr. Patrick Ming-Kuen Tang is Assistant Professor in the Department of Anatomical and Cellular Pathology at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. completed his Bachelor and PhD degrees in the Department of Biochemistry at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). He continued his postdoctoral study in the University of Oxford (UK) and returned to become a research manager for business development in Hong Kong. He now focuses on lung cancer immunology and advanced single-cell bioinformatics. He has discovered a novel phenomenon "Macrophage to Neuron-like cells Transition" [Tang et al., Science Advances 2022] and published numerous renowned journals e.g. Nature Communications, Science Advances, PNAS, Molecular Cancer, Advanced Science, Cancer Immunology Research, Kidney International, Molecular Therapy, Diabetes, Cancer Letters, etc. He has received Young Investigator Awards (ISN Frontiers, East Meets West Symposium), CUHK Faculty Innovation Award, DreamMaker award, Gold Medal with Congratulations of the Jury in Inventions Geneva (Swiss).
