My research has focused on freshwater fish species from physiological and aquaculture perspectives, mainly native fish such as the tropical gar (Atractosteus tropicus) and cichlids (Petenia splendida, Mayaheros urophthalmus, Vieja spp., Centropomus spp., among others), as well as Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus).
