If you’re new to the biotech industry and would like to brush up on its history, there’s a great resource offered by Life Sciences Foundation. Launched in 2009, the entity plans to “record, preserve, and make known the story of biotechnology.”  That means timelines going back as far as the 1790s (discovering and treating scurvy), a long list of biographies for some of biotech’s biggest names, and video and audio clips on a host of topics. There’s plenty more on the site, and it’s worth spending some time poking around.
