Microbes can interact with one another in complex ways, cooperating to exploit shared goods or competing for limited resources. A new Guest Edited Collection at Scientific Reports explores these interactions.

The Microbial cooperation and conflict Collection explores how genetic and environmental factors shape microbial interactions. This Collection brings together empirical and theoretical papers from a range of fields, including biotechnology, medicine, ecology, and sociobiology.

The Collection is open for submissions of original research articles in this area until the end of June 2022. For information on the submission process and our Guest Edited Collection policies, see our Calls for Papers page.
