If you feel like you are a failure when it comes to solving maths equations, think again. Teachers can assist students overcome these fears early and improve maths ability, just by changing the students mindset. Alexei VernitskiIan Daly and Jake Bourgaize discuss their study, which measured participants motivation to solve mathematical equations before and after each problem and observed patterns of brain activity with an electroencephalogram, while participants completed the calculations.
