The Scientific Reports team is pleased to announce the most read* articles from 2022. Featuring authors from around the world and from research fields across the scope of the journal, these papers highlight valuable research from an international community.
The journal's overall top 100 can be found here.
In 2021 Scientific Reports expanded its scope to consider submissions in the field of psychology, alongside the wonderful human behaviour and cognitive neuroscience studies that we have enjoyed publishing for considerably longer. The 2022 overall top 100 most read papers list highlights how much that scope expansion has contributed to readers' enjoyment already. Just a taste of the many studies you'll find here in behavioural science and psychology: the impact of online misinformation on uptake of COVID-19 vaccines; the differences between temperament and personality in childhood and adulthood in predicting life outcomes; an exploration of the chemical markers of sexual arousal; the effects of perceived societal pressure to be happy; and how birdsong can be beneficial to healthy people.
Congratulations to all authors who contributed to these highly valuable research papers!
