About Paula S. Salgado

My main research aims at understanding the molecular details of pathogenicity in bacteria. I have a particular interest in Clostridium difficile, a major cause of hospital-acquired infections strongly associated with antibiotic usage and resistance. Currently, we focus on surface proteins and sporulation mechanisms in C. difficile.
