Marian joined Nature as a News & Views editor in 2012 and moved to Nature Ecology & Evolution in 2016 as part of the launch team. She handles primary research and review and opinion content across the journal, with a focus on conservation, applied ecology and marine science. Marian has a PhD in immunology from the University of Melbourne and did postdoctoral work at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. She is based in the Melbourne office.
