About Ahmet Avsar
I am an experimental condensed matter physicist specializing in the emerging fields of spintronics and two-dimensional crystals-based nanotechnology. Specifically, I study the electron, exciton and spin transport in lithographically patterned mesoscopic devices. I obtained PhD degree from Physics Department of National University of Singapore and I was working as a research fellow at the Electrical Engineering Department of Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland before moving in Newcastle. I am a recipient of 2016- EPFL Fellows fellowship award co-fund by Marie Skladowska-Curie.
