About Anders Wörman
I am currently a professor of River Engineering and Head of the Division of Resources, Energy, and Infrastructure at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. Previously, I held the position of professor of Environmental Physics at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, as well as Associate Professor (Docent) in Sedimentology at Uppsala University, Sweden. My research specializes in engineering hydrology, specifically focusing on climate effects on the availability of renewable energy and water resources, as well as hydraulic engineering and hydrological issues related to groundwater and contaminant transport with water.
I have extensive experience in academic education at various levels and have supervised the completion of 17 doctoral educations as part of my research. From 1993 to 2000, I initiated and served as the coordinator of the educational Master's Program in Environmental and Water Engineering (formerly known as "Aquatic and Environmental Engineering") at Uppsala University. This program consisted of 300 ECTS credits. Additionally, from 2010 to 2014, I held the role of Vice Dean, overseeing undergraduate education at the School of Architecture and the Built Environment at the Royal Institute of Technology.
