About Brice Noël
Brice Noël is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Liège (Belgium). He completed a PhD in climatology/glaciology at Utrecht University (Netherlands) in 2018, where he further worked as a postdoctoral researcher under a NWO Veni grant until 2022. He is now pursuing his research projects under a FRS-FNRS postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Liège.
His main interest focuses on modelling the climate of polar regions using regional climate models and statistical downscaling to high spatial resolutions. More specifically, he studies the present-day and future surface mass balance (SMB) -difference between winter snowfall accumulation and meltwater runoff in summer- of the Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets and other glaciers worldwide, including the Canadian Arctic, Svalbard, Iceland and the Patagonian Andes.
