About Eman Badr
Dr. Eman Badr is an associate professor of Biomedical Sciences at Zewail City of Science and Technology. She is also affiliated with the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence at Cairo University. She received her Ph.D. in Computer Science from Virginia Tech, USA. Dr. Badr works at the interface between biology and computer science to facilitate biomedical discoveries using computational methods combined with artificial intelligence. Her research interests include computational biology, machine learning, and medical imaging analysis. She is particularly interested in developing computational tools for Genomics and Transcriptomics applications. That includes large-scale data-driven problems, integrative NGS data analysis, and exploring how deep learning models can integrate different data sources into classification tasks. Dr. Badr is the head of the Electronics, Communication, and Information Technology Committee, emanating from the Technical Office at the ASRT. She is also an executive committee member of the National Egyptian Bioinformatics Network (BioNetMasr), a member of the National Communications and Information Technology Council, and the Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils.
