About Irina Panyushkina
Irina Panyushkina is a PhD researcher and Faculty of the Laboratory of Tree-Ring Research at the University of Arizona. Her research interests include modeling past climate variability with tree-ring proxies, calendar dating of archaeological and geological timbers, and exploring the role of extreme solar storms (solar energetic particles) on climate variability. She has undertaken many field seasons in Northern Eurasia, Inner Asian High Lands, and the Great Lakes region developing the Holocene tree-ring networks.
