About Karoline Bjarnesdatter Rypdal

Molecular biologist holding a PhD in medicine from the University of Oslo, Norway. My research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of heart failure, with particular emphasis on the progression of cardiac fibrosis. Within the group of Prof. Ida G. Lunde, I study the genetic contribution to heart disease, and the role of extracellular matrix protein in the pathophysiological process of cardiac remodelling.
