About Pravat K Mandal

Prof. Pravat K. Mandal, is a graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras and Tata Innovation Fellow(GOI). He worked as tenure track Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychiatry, University of Pittsburgh Medical School, USA and Associate Professor (Adj) at Department of Radiology, Johns Hopkins Medicine, USA. At present, he is working as scientist in NBRC and Dr. Mandal is working on medical imaging and developed novel technology for brain signal processing framework (Kalpana, US patent granted), developed Indian Brain Template “BRAHMA”, Big data analytics “BHARAT” and brain imaging-based database and data analytics “SWADESH”. The seminal work of Dr. Mandal is the quantitation of brain antioxidant “glutathione” and identification of glutathione depletion with Alzheimer’s disease progression.
