About Simeon D Castle
Designer turned engineer turned synthetic biologist. I’m interested in developing biological design methods that account for and exploit evolution. In my PhD, I am applying principles of evolvability to genetic circuit design through experimental methods (using sort-seq) and computational study (random boolean networks) of their genotype-phenotype maps.
I also use the models of genetic networks and genetic algorithms that I am developing to generate evolved electronic music.
