About Vittorio Giordano
I am a PhD Candidate in the Department of Environment, Land and Infrastructure Engineering at Politecnico di Torino. During my master's degree in Environmental and Land Engineering, with a major in Climate Change studies, I became very interested in hydroclimatic change and its effects on production systems.
In my early research experiences, I worked on combining water footprint modelling with crop yield and climate projections to develop water footprint scenarios under climate change. After starting my PhD, I began exploring the dynamics of food system resilience and the propagation of dietary changes in social-ecological systems. I aim to bridge the understanding of the disruptions caused by the current food system in the water cycle and the atmosphere, with the transition towards healthy and sustainable diets.
