About Yoshihiro Obata

Hello! My name is Yoshihiro (Yoshi) Obata and I am a PhD student at the University of Utah. I am interested in studying the effect of type II diabetes on the mechanical properties of bone. Specifically, I perform in situ synchrotron mechanical testing to study the internal structure of bone under load. My specialty is in image analysis, in situ testing, and using deep learning to denoise and segment micro-CT images.
