About Zheng Fu
His research centers on the biosphere–atmosphere exchange of carbon, water and energy, with a particular emphasis on understanding how terrestrial ecosystems respond to global change and its feedback mechanisms across various spatial and temporal scales. His research leverages interdisciplinary knowledge and diverse tools (experiment, eddy-covariance, remote sensing, models, machine learning and big data analytics) to explore how global change alters structure and functions of terrestrial ecosystems, and how terrestrial ecosystems, in turn, regulate climate change.
