Two-input protein logic gate for biological computation
Here we design a two-input single protein logic gate for biological computation by allosterically wiring two inputs to a functional site of a protein.
Fine-tuning mechanism of "body building" in space microgravity environment with epigenetic modifications
Our paper entitled "Histone deacetylase HDA-4-mediated epigenetic regulation in space-flown C. elegans” just published in npj Microgravity, demonstrates a novel epigenetic modification in response to microgravity environment of space-grown C. elegans.
Sparse deconvolution: one decisive step into computational fluorescence superresolution
We stumble upon an iterative optimization of fluorescence images followed by the RL deconvolution using the spatiotemporal continuity and sparsity prior knowledge. This Sparse deconvolution algorithm can extend spatial resolutions of fluorescence microscopes beyond their hardware constraints.
GWAS for lung function with adjustment for exhaled nitric oxide levels as airway inflammation indicator
We performed a GWAS for lung function with adjustment for exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO) levels to account for type 2 airway inflammation. Our study identified the genetic locus most strongly associated with airway obstruction in the Japanese population and new genetic loci associated with FeNO.
Behind the Book | Oedipus Rex in the Genomic Era
Oedipus Rex in the Genomic Era, by Yulia Kovas and Fatos Selita, is a new book that combines Genetics, Social Sciences and Humanities to examine human behaviour.
Mapping the European Patent Landscape for Medical Uses of Known Products
European Patent Office (EPO) data show an increasing number of patents for new medical uses of known products
