Double-walled Al-based MOF with large microporous specific surface area for trace benzene adsorption
A double-walled Al-based MOF, named as ZJU-520(Al), with large microporous specific surface area of 2235 m2/g, was synthesized. It has excellent trace benzene adsorption (5.98 mmol/g) and can effectively separate trace benzene from benzene and cyclohexane mixture gas.
Forward-predictive SERS-based chemical taxonomy for untargeted structural elucidation of epimeric cerebrosides
Can we elucidate the chemical structure of molecules based on the SERS spectra of other molecules?
Genomic insights into antibiotic resistance in E. coli ST131 bacteraemia cases in Wales
Our study illuminates the complex genomic landscape of Escherichia coli sequence type (ST)131, a well-known multidrug-resistant clone linked to bloodstream infections in Wales.
Controlled synthesis of a library of one-dimensional segmented heteronanostructures
We develop a general solution-phase synthesis as well as their chemical post-transformations of one-dimensional segmented heterostructures and explore their stress-induced ordering evolution mechanism with the phase field model.
Secrets of the mantle underworld revealed by magmatic rocks on the Philippine Sea, Earth’s fastest tectonic plate
Earth’s mantle is a complex region of mixing and dynamic flow. Now in a paper published in Nature Communications Earth and Environment, Qian et al. analyzes basaltic magma on a fast-moving tectonic plate to map distinct rock chemistry regions within the mantle and show their Deep Time longevity.
