Worldwide geothermal power (2024)
Up to now, geothermal energy is the only renewable source that can be used to generate electricity on a constant, predictable and dispatchable manner. It's the energy of the Earth interior, harnessed through deep wells (2000 or more meters), originally developed in Larderello, Italy, in 1912.
Anchoring the Interface: Building Stable 2D/3D Structures on Inorganic Perovskites
We set out to replicate the success of 2D/3D heterostructures in inorganic perovskites, but nothing grew. When it finally did, the layer vanished under heat. By introducing fluorinated spacers with anchoring groups, we stabilized heterostructures and suppressed cation migration at high temperatures.
