Contact electrification of solutions: beyond neutrality
Water was previously thought to be electrically neutral. Here, Qingming Ma & Xiaoxiong Wang et al. from QDU found that charge transfer exists in aqueous two-phase systems and a new type of liquid-liquid nanogenerator was designed, which inspires new areas of electric research in water alone.
Volumetric imaging with uniform 3D resolution across scales
Light-sheet fluorescence microscopy (LSFM) enables gentle and efficient volumetric imaging. Through axially swept light-sheet microscopy (ASLM), the resolution in the third dimension can be made equal to the lateral resolution, simplifying viewing and analysis of three-dimensional samples.
