A multiple electrochemical sensing fibre for long-term disease biomarkers monitoring in vivo
To fabricate a stable device-tissue interface, the bundles of carbon nanotubes fibres were twisted to form a hierarchical structure that mimic the native tissues. After modification, the sensing fibres could realize the long-term monitoring of multiple disease biomarkers in vivo.
Declines in HIV incidence among men and women in a South African population-based cohort
Southern Africa is the region with the world’s highest rate of new HIV infections. Over the last decade, there has been a multi-million-dollar investment in antiretroviral therapy to prevent the onward transmission of HIV and bring the epidemic under control.
Harnessing the intracellular triacylglycerols for titer improvement of polyketides in Streptomyces
Pharmaceutically important polyketides are produced during the stationary phase of growth of Streptomyces species in fermenters. The source of intracellular metabolites that are funneled into polyketide biosynthesis has proven elusive. We uncover the mystery and devised a titer improvement strategy.
